Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore studied the use of electric current to stimulate severe stroke patients’ brains to help them regain limbs control. The team used brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) in robotic therapy to repair victims’ neurological pathway by helping the body to imagine motor movements. The new neurological rehabilitation technique will help those with severe disabilities who are facing bottleneck in recovery by doing repetitive exercises.
